APPROVAL OF THE STEM GRANT APPLICATION TO THE GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF VENICE FOR SOUTH COUNTY MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS
Description
NON-COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $284,500 will be used to develop, expand and promote student experiences in STEM-related activities, including summer camps, STEM clubs, and student internships and mentorships; provide professional development to STEM teachers; and develop "Classrooms of Tomorrow" in all middle school science classrooms.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the STEM Grant proposal.
